Keith Rodebeck Obituary

Keith Richard Rodebeck, 74 of Belvidere Illinois passed away on January 25, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.  Keith was born July 12, 1951 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Richard and Ruthe (Dawson) Rodebeck. He was the eldest of three children. Keith graduated from Ramsey High School and attended Greenville College both in Illinois.  Keith married the love of his life, Donna Frantell March 28, 1997. He had a successful career as a district manager and district sales specialist in pizza.

Keith had many passions, one of which was the Fair.  To say that Keith was an enthusiastic fairgoer would be an understatement. He enjoyed many days, and every aspect of the fair including the 4-H exhibits and lots of delicious fair food at both the Indiana State Fair and Boone County Fair every year.  He was an avid gardener who never missed the opportunity to enjoy a fresh tomato right off the vine, or a fresh green bean off the bush while tending the garden. He loved animals and would make regular donations of dog and cat food to his local food pantry.  If they were ever low on something when he dropped off his donation, he would run right back to the store and get them whatever they needed so no pet would go hungry, and people could keep their pets.  Keith looked forward to so many wonderful traditions, but one of his favorites was putting up and decorating the Christmas Tree and train, with his grandchildren Jocelyn and James.  Christmas bingo with his family was a treasured time, which everyone looked forward to and enjoyed.  He also enjoyed grilling - especially bacon with Maggie on the weekends.  Keith was always ready to take a long walk back to the woods with a found hiking stick and end the day roasting hotdogs over a good bonfire at the farm. Many hours were spent playing cards and chatting in the summer kitchen and at the beach with family. He enjoyed walking on the beach, eating fried mushrooms and oysters from the bar on St. Simons Island.  Keith never missed his daily walks with Maggie his black lab and could quote any episode of The Andy Griffith Show.  Most of all Keith enjoyed his family and friends.  He was always doing, helping and enjoying life.  Keith is loved and will be dearly missed.

Keith leaves behind his beloved wife of 28 years Donna, his loving children Michael (Carrie) Rodebeck of Huntley, Illinois and Mandy (Pat) Montressor of Marengo, Illinois, mother of his children Sandra (Power) Rodebeck, grandchildren Jocelyn and James Rodebeck, sisters Gretchen Miles and Carol (Joe) Torres, sister-in-law Diane Frantell, brother-in-law Bobby Frantell, brother-in-law Rich Frantell, brother-in-law Bud Power, nieces and nephews Anthony Miles, Jennifer Eldridge, Matt Bristow, Samantha Zappitella, Nick Frantell, Amy Frantell, Keri Frantell; numerous great nieces and nephews, and his loyal companion and walking partner his black lab Maggie Mae.  He was proceeded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Aurelian Miles and yellow lab Bailey.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Belvidere Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Belvidere, IL.  The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM with interment at Belvidere Cemetery in Belvidere, IL.
